Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

If banana bread was a person, they'd be that one person that everyone loves, and no one has a bad word to say about them. Add chocolate chips to the equation and it's as though that one wonderful person also has an adorable puppy. This recipe was fantastic, although I slightly undercooked it and the middle sunk in a bit. I'd love to make this one again, and this time I'll make sure the center is set (and not wobbly!) when I take it out of the oven.
Update: I ended up making this banana bread in Dar es Salaam and even with a few substitutions it came out delicious! The substitutions were not an attempt to be creative, but rather due to the fact that I can't get certain ingredients here. Here are my Tanzanian substitutions: (no chocolate chips, olive oil instead of vegetable oil, yogurt instead of sour cream, brown sugar instead of white, and sprinkle some brown sugar on top, bake for about 55 minutes). This version was absolutely delicious. So delicious in fact that I ended up eating two pieces a night for a week with peanut butter. A balanced dinner? Maybe?
