Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Saturday - December 16, 2017
This season I've been seeing chocolate crinkle cookies everywhere which led to major cookie envy. I decided to make my own to give out as holiday treats, and I really wanted some that came out puffy and fudgy. I've tried similar recipes before that totally flattened out, but these ones came out perfectly! They made for a great holiday gift for neighbors, which also means I had a great excuse to get them out of the house so I didn't finish them off.
I grew up baking with my mom and using her KitchenAid mixer. When it was time for me to get a mixer of my own, I already knew I wanted the same KitchenAid that she had. My parents gave me the KitchenAid of my dreams for my birthday five years ago, and to say I was excited would be a major understatement (there were some happy tears involved!). For those who want to do a bit more research before settling on their perfect mixer, this article about stand mixers from Reviews.com is an incredible wealth of information. For KitchenAid enthusiasts like me, they even did a review of different KitchenAids on the market. Good luck finding your perfect mixer!
