Chocolate M&M Cookies

I had a semi-embarassing motivation for baking these cookies. The day before, I had posted some chai pear scones on instagram, and I was a little underwhelmed with how the brown cinnamon glaze photographed. I've been baking a lot of blondies, cinnamon treats, and breads, so it's been a lot of browns, beiges and tans in my kitchen. I was ready for a bright, colorful treat. I've been sitting on this recipe for months (years?!) now so it seemed like the perfect cookies to bake for this occasion. Not only were they fudge and rich, the M&Ms added a perfect crunch and pop of color.
