Chocolate Orange Brownies

Chocolate orange is one of those combos that just works so well. I was looking for a chocolate orange dessert for my sweet friend’s birthday this past weekend, and was so excited to find these gooey chocolate orange brownies. I was planning to put those iconic chocolate orange slices on top (these ones!) but couldn’t find them at Safeway. I did find the most delicious Lindt orange chocolate so I used that instead. I halved this recipe, added 1/2 teaspoon of orange extract, baked them in an 8x8 pan, and topped with 9 Lindt squares. Perfect dessert for all the fans of those nostalgic chocolate oranges!
