Thick and Fudgy Toffee Brownies

Last year I  missed my dad’s birthday since he was traveling in Costa Rica at the time, but I knew I wanted to bake him something once he was back. I asked what he wanted and he said something chocolatey, “maybe brownies with something, like a toffee”. Brownies with toffee? Check! I found this recipe and the description really got me, “They are so rich, thick, and fudgy it’s absurd.” How could I NOT make these? They were a big hit, and my dad loved his birthday brownies! I've made them a few times since, and each time they are the perfect, fudgy treat.
